The purpose of this session is to address equity issues in the classroom as well as share experiences and practices that can improve equity issues in the learning community. This session is an interactive session. The session starts with the need for equity in education. The session involve strategies that lead to positive intercultural interactions in the classroom. The primary focus will be on practices such as culturally responsive teaching and culturally responsive pedagogy. These practices can be implemented in any curriculum.
